Bernadine “Dene” Lightfoot, age 86 of Midland died at the MidMichigan Medical Center on Friday, September 6, 2013.
The daughter of the late Peter and Agnes (Kott) Randall was born on July 26, 1927 in Midland, graduating from Midland High School in 1948. On January 3, 1948 she married Joe Hrcka and he predeceased her on January 16, 1982. Dene was actively involved with the family business of Joe’s Service Station in Freeland for many years along with raising her family. On December 31, 1988 she married Donald “Buck” Lightfoot in Sanford. Dene was an avid bowler and enjoyed All Star Status. She also enjoyed fishing and casino visits. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was a strong support and inspiration for her family and many friends.
Dene is survived by her husband, Donald “Buck” Lightfoot; her children, Bob Hrcka of Auburn, Jan (Robert) Williams of Loveland, CO, Joanne (Jerry) Gardner of East Sparta, Ohio, Joe (Deb) Hrcka of Imperial, Nebraska, Judy (Glenn) Schlicker of Freeland, Larry (Joann) Lightfoot of Midland, Rodger Lightfoot of Auburn, Lisa Kuch of Midland; 22 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Delores (Melvin) Mieske, Pat Jamison and friend (Dale), Margaret (Sam) Cunningham and Alma (Chuck) Harris.
She was predeceased by brothers, Harold, Loren, Charles, her twin brother, Bernard, and Richard Randall; sisters-in-law, Jean Headley, June Byrnes; and mother-in-law Genevieve Lightfoot.
