Bernadette A. Boyle, age 86 of Milford, formerly of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late Charles J. Boyle, Sr. passed away peacefully Sunday, December 7, 2014 in her home. Born in New York City the daughter of the late Allen Teed and Marie Westlake, she had been a Fairfield resident since 1950. A devout Catholic, Bernadette was a long-time active parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish where she had been a member of the Ladies Guild. A gifted artist she loved painting landscape portraits and also painted portraits of all her children. Bernadette also delighted in playing the organ.

She will be lovingly remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include five beloved children, Michael P. Boyle of Milford, Brian E. Boyle and his wife Lee Anne of Fairfield, Gerald A. Boyle and his wife Barbara of Grapevine, TX, Matthew T. Boyle, Sr. and his wife Nancy of Mahopac, NY and Marie J. Boyle of Milford; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Boyle of Woodbridge; two sisters, her twin, Sr. Paul Marie Westlake, RSM of Erie, PA and Rosemary M. Murray of Riverside, CA; 11 cherished grandchildren, Colleen, Stephen, Kate, Patsy, Aurore,, Bernadette, Irene, Mary, Courtney, Matthew, Jr. and Ryan; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her loving husband Charles, she was predeceased by sons, Charles J. Boyle, Jr. and Mark S. Boyle and a brother, Allen Teed Westlake.
