Bernabe “Bernie” Torres, 62, passed away Dec. 5, 2019. A lifetime Pueblo-an, he was born Feb. 15, 1957 to Onesimo and Maria (Lucero) Torres who preceded him in death along with siblings, Avalynn, Charlie and Paul; brother-in-law, Don Vest. He was a 1975 graduate of Centennial High School. He then attended Trinidad State Junior College and obtained a teaching certificate from USC. He taught at Baca Elementary and worked for Convergys telemarketing for many years. He loved to write and was the editor of the newsletter at Minnequa Medical Center.
