Benoit “Benny” Boucher, 78, of Plainville,

passed away on Thursday, December 25,

2008, after a long courageous battle with cancer.

 

He was born December

20, 1930, in St. Gabriel de Stratford, Quebec,

son of the late Willie and Alfonsine (Bernier) Boucher.  Benny served in the U.S. Army during the

Korean War and was a sergeant of arms at West Point.  He retired from the Local # 478 Operating

Engineering Union as a heavy equipment operator.

the Knights of Columbus, and the American Legion Post #33 in Plainville.  Benny will be remembered by all for his love

for people, life, and his great sense of humor.

 

He is survived by his loving friend and companion, Mavis

Curtis of Plainville; his wife and friend, Linette Boucher of Laval, Quebec;

his daughter and fiancé, Jeannine Boucher and Thomas Davis of Bristol; his son

and daughter-in-law, Michael and Anne Boucher of Forestville; his two grandsons,

Marc and Steven Boucher of Forestville; his sister and brother, Aline Adams and

Marc Boucher of St. Georges Beauce, Quebec; his brother and sister-in-law,

Andre and Kristie Boucher of Danbury; his loving sister-in-law, Geraldine

Boucher of Bethel; many nieces and nephews.
