Mr. Bennie Will Lane was born on August 11, 1940 in Limestone, AL, to the late Bennie Newton and Arkie Foster. He departed this life on October 28, 2021 at Decatur Morgan Campus.
He confessed his life in Christ at an early age. Shug, as he was affectionately called by family and friends attended schools in Limestone, AL.
Shug was well known for working on cars. He was an excellent mechanic, a joy to be around and he truly loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Lorine Miland and Rebecca Miland; two sons, Justin and Jason Miland; 13 siblings of whom he was the youngest.
Shug is survived by: his loving wife of 52 years, Mrs. Patsy Ann Miland of Decatur; six daughters, Gloria McCloud (Curtis), Sharon Miland, Linda Miland, Tonya Miland (Troy) all of Decatur, Kendra Irving and Daphne Irving of Madison, AL; four sons, Bennie Miland (Diane), Tevarez Miland (Ulonda), Christopher Irving all of Decatur and Terrance Irving of Madison, AL; 28 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a very special, dear niece and nephew, Lakeyah and Kenneth Heath; two god-children, Avery and Judy Jackson; a host of other relatives and friends.
