Bennie Louise McKay Hutchens of Waldron, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Heavenly family on May 28, 2017. Bennie was born July 14, 1936 in Parks, AR to Richard and Martha McKay. She was 80 years, 10 months, and 14 days old. Bennie attended Waldron Pentecostal Church of God.

Bennie loved her family most. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, fishing, and painting. She was famous for her homemade chocolate icing recipe, her wonderful crockpot pinto beans and her fabulous chicken and dressing. Bennie loved her Wal-Mart family and worked as a cashier, door greeter, and a new hire trainer for 26 years. Bennie had many friends at Dalton’s Place where she had lived for the past year. She introduced the residents to the game of Farkle, playing games was one of her favorite pastimes.

Bennie leaves behind to cherish her memory, five children: Darla Gathright and husband Paul of Waldron, Eddie Hutchens and wife Becky of Waldron; daughter Sandy Young and husband Craig of Lowell; daughter Lori Shupert and husband Kent of Waldron; son Toby Hutchens and wife Ethel of Waldron. Mema/Grandma Bennie will be missed by her 19 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Bennie was eight of ten children and is survived by one sister, Vernious McKay Staton of Dinuba, California.

Bennie was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Martha McKay; four sisters: Alta, Juanita, Dorothy, Flossie and four brothers: Grady, baby boy Precious, J.D., and Eugene and other loved ones.
