He is survived by his wife, Itaskah Loper; three brothers, Henry (Lois) Loper, Winfurd (Charlotte) Loper, and Sam (Adriann) Loper; two sisters, Shirley (Burnell) Godwin and Ella Mae (Norman) Lathan; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
