Dr. Miller (known fondly as Ben) was born June 8, 1934 in Washington D.C., the son of the late Bennett G. Miller, Sr. and Laura Elizabeth Weyandt Miller. He attended McKinley Technical High School. During this period, the family hosted an Austrian foreign exchange student, Gerda “Putzi” Kastner, who became a second sister to him and an important part of his extended family. He graduated from Bridgewater College before going on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Georgetown University. He was a member of the Navy Reserves, owned and operated a dental practice in Ft. Washington, MD for many years and was an avid tennis player before the progression of his Parkinsons Disease. Following the sale of his practice, he and his wife moved to Manassas, VA in March 1999 where they became active members and developed many cherished friendships within the Sudley United Methodist Church. After his beloved wife of 46 years succumbed to cancer in 2010, he pursued a Sport Pilot license. He achieved this license in July 2011 at the age of 77 under the instruction of JJ Quinn, who became a very dear friend. Flying his little yellow airplane became his passion. He forged many meaningful relationships at the Culpeper Airport and near his farm property in Keysville, VA. Ben is now reunited in death with the love of his life, Carol Anne Miller. Survivors include his four children, Karen M. LeMaster and husband Peter, Bennett G. Miller, III and wife Alexis, Jennifer B. Lesko and husband Scott, Andrew H.F.
