Bennett Foster Files, 69, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away at home in Cumming, Georgia on December 9, 2011. Bennett was born December 24, 1941 in Portland Maine, the only child of Anne Foster and Walter Wentworth Files. He attended Georgia State University, where he received his BBA and MBA. During his lifetime as a Chief Financial Officer, Bennett worked for The Celanese Corporation, AFF Inc, The Pinnacle Group, and others, finishing out his professional career as a consultant for Tatum CFO Partners in Atlanta. He was also a member of several prestigious business organizations, including Financial Executives International. In 1988, Governor Wallace Wilkinson awarded Bennett the Commission of a Kentucky Colonel, the highest honor granted by the state of Kentucky for outstanding special achievements. Bennett was a patron of the arts who loved to travel, and who sponsored children in need in various countries, most notably Native American children here in the United States. He is survived by his wife, Maureen, his children, James Marks and Elizabeth Stegenga, and five grandchildren, Cassandra Marks, Elise Marks, Brianna Stegenga, Matthew Stegenga, and Andrew Stegenga.
