For a young man who made so much noise, on March 12, 2021 Benjamin Wesley Patton slipped into heaven without a sound to be greeted with much rejoicing by a Savior who loves children and an Uncle who was undoubtedly thrilled to meet him. He had just celebrated his 13th birthday on March 7th. Ben was born with many challenges, making even the simplest achievements a reason for his family to celebrate. He loved to read books and watch videos, like the Muppets, in his favorite chair. He loved to laugh and he absolutely loved to eat! Ben spent many years at The Joseph Sams School where his teachers enjoyed finding ways to direct his stubborn spirit. He was cherished by his fellow church members at Peachtree City Christian Church, Southwest Christian Church, and in his younger days, First Methodist Church of Newnan. Ben’s neighbors would often see him riding his bike with his mom and stepdad. He was always excited to go out to eat with his dad. His older brother was his greatest defender and looks forward to helping people like Ben when he becomes a doctor. Ben was adored by his mother, Courtney Eidson, his father Logan Patton, his brother, Sam Patton, his half-sister, Elizabeth Patton Lidvall, his stepfather Greg Eidson, his grandparents, Gail and Harry Coker, and Joanne Patton and his great-grandmother Doris Coker as well as many other family and friends. Ben was preceded in death by his uncle Lance Wesley Coker and his grandfather Edward Logan Patton.
