Benjamin Thomas Lujan was born on June 19, 1966, to Erlinda and Benny Lujan of Tome, New Mexico and passed away on May 30, 2023, at his home in Los Lunas, New Mexico. In 2020 and after a 37-year career with the New Mexico Department of Corrections, he chose to retire so that he could care for his wife Marilyn. Benjamin grew up in Tome, where he took care of his siblings and mother while attending school and working full time. Benjamin enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed working in his yard and was extremely proud of his yearly garden. He is survived by his wife Marilyn, of 35 years, his daughter, Samantha and her husband Nick and his son Joseph. He is survived by his 2 sisters, Sonia, and Elizabeth, and his brother, James. Benjamin is preceded in death by his mother, Erlinda Otero, and father, Benny Lujan, his stepfather, Flavio Otero, and brother, Michael Lujan.
