Benjamin E. “Benji” Lewis, age 58, of Jonesboro, IN, died Saturday, November 9, 2013, athome. He was the son of Lester “Gene” Lewis and the late Martha Bell (Lewis) Lewis.
He was born on August 5, 1955 in Marion, Indiana. He graduated from Mississinewa High School in 1973 and attended Hobart Welding School of Hobart, Ohio. A Lance Corporal of the Marine Corps he served during the Vietnam Era.
He was a pipefitter with the Union Local440of Muncie.
He was a member of the American Legion of West Lafayette and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, NASCAR and woodworking. Two Daughters: Jennifer Lewis, West Lafayette, IN Catherine (John) Shukle, West Lafayette, IN Three Grand Children; Kelsy & Kyran Sanders and Jack Shukle. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffry Lewis.
