Benjamin Christopher Isaacs Schüttler (“Benji”) born on July 23, 1989 left our world after only 27 short years on November 1, 2016. Born and raised in Atlanta, his death was related to an automobile accident in New Jersey, which occurred on December 10, 2015. While Benji suffered considerable physical pain and endured over 20 surgeries during the last 11 months, his approach to life never varied. Benji was a generous, sunny, optimistic, outgoing person who loved his family and his friends. He went to school from age 4 until Grade 12 at the Atlanta International School where he was active in a variety of activities including theatre, sports and Model United Nations, but the main takeaways from AIS were the wonderful, lifelong friends he made both among his fellow students and the faculty.
