Benjamin Allen Walton, 62. Scottsdale, AZ.
Ben Walton, 62, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Friendship Village Hospice Care, Tempe, AZ, after a courageous 2 year battle with pancreatic cancer.
Ben was born in Schenectady, NY on August 2, 1954, the son of William E. and Grace (Mann) Walton, both deceased. He was raised on East Terrace in South Burlington and graduated from South Burlington High School in 1973. He attended Champlain College and later received his Journeyman Electrical License. He worked in the electrical trade for over 30 years. Ben also served in the Army National Guard from 1975 – 1981.
Ben enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and driving his 1978 MG Midget. He was a very giving person and never expected anything in return. He had a great love for his family and friends and touched many lives along his journey.
Ben is survived by his wife, Pam (Laidman) Walton, daughters Angie and Amanda, granddaughter Eva, Father In-law, Bob Laidman, Sr., with whom he had a special bond. Siblings Liz (Mike) Gustin, Luke (Karen) Walton, Peggy (Jeff) Selman, Vicky (Scott) Malcolm, brother in-laws Bob (Cricket) Laidman, Thom (Kathy) Laidman, Andy (Kate) Laidman, Stu (Vikki) Laidman and all of his very special nieces and nephews.
