Benito Melendez, 85 of Millstone Township, passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, November 20, 2018. Benito was born to the late Angel Melendez and Otilia Santos in Orocovis, Puerto Rico on December 7, 1932. He was known as a kind and generous man that was always thoughtful of others. He was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather and a great provider for his family. Benito was a simple man that always strived to give his family the best life he could. He will be greatly missed. Benito was predeceased by his parents, sisters, Heliodora “Dora” Figueroa and Amelia Melendez.
Benito is survived by his loving wife, Maria Melendez; son, Benito Melindez, Jr of Jackson; daughters, Shirley Palmieri of Millstone Township; Lisa Melendez of Millstone Township; brothers, Angel Santos of Toms River; Carmelo Melendez of Boston, Massachusetts; Hipolito Melendez of Millstone Township; Teodoro “Teddy” Santos of Lakewood; sister, Maria Melendez of Toms River and grandson, Jay Palmieri, Jr. of Millstone Township.
