April 5, 1935 – October 9, 2019
Benito “Chito” F. Alvarado, 84, went home to be with the Lord peacefully late Wednesday night surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of his own home. He was a native of San Benito born April 5, 1935 to Crecienciano Alvarado and Andrea Flores Alvarado. Benito retired after 35 years of faithful service as a supervisor at South Texas State Chest Hospital. He was a avid fisherman.
Chito is preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Ernesto Trejo and Alvaro Alvarado, two brothers, Crecienciano Alvarado Jr. and Lucas Alvarado.
He leaves to cherish his wonderful memory his loving and devoted wife of 35 years, Juanita M. Alvarado, children, Melisah Trejo Hernandez, Gabriel Alvarado, Benito Alvarado Jr., Ruben Alvarado, Samuel Alvarado, Sylvia Perez, Melilia Howard, Rachel Molina, Esther Alvarado, Sarai Alvarado, Ricardo Alvarado, Gloria Galindo, Gracie Rogers, Adrian Alvarado and Ana Isabel Valdez; numerous grandchildren and great grand children; siblings, Guadalupe Alvarado de Bermea, Joe Alvarado (Hortencia) and Andrez Yzaguirre (Benito). He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces other relatives and friends.
