Benita Viden Montalvo, age 60, died peacefully at her Manchester home on Sunday, March 7, 2021, after a long battle with COPD. Benita was born on March 21, 1960 in Hartford, CT, daughter of the late Bienvenido Montalvo and Loretta A. Pagani-Montalvo. She grew up in Hartford and Manchester but was a life-long resident of Manchester.
Benita was a stay-at-home mom for many years until she found her calling at MARC, Inc. working with developmentally and intellectually disabled individuals. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and community volunteer for the Special Olympics. She touched so many lives with her generosity and passion for life, love, and others.
In addition to both of her parents, Benita is predeceased by her sister, Carmela “Cammy” Hinojosa; brother, Benny Montalvo, and sister Juanita Montalvo-Garcia.
