Benedicto O. Rico, 82, of Camarillo, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2012.
“Rico” as he is affectionately known was born March 20, 1929, in Tarimord, Guanajuato, Mexico to the parents of Esteban Rico and Maricelina Ortiz.
Prior to his retirement, he worked as a tree trimmer for 35 years.
He was known to hang around the neighborhood corner viewing passer byers. He was always willing to give rides to anyone who ever needed it.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Aurora; step sons, Tommy and Ronnie; step daughter, Jeanette and one grandson, Nito.
Rico is survived by his children, Alma Rico and Hector (Christina) Rico; Step children Bonnie (Rick) Cervantes, Sandra Ortiz, Robert (Gloria) Arzabal; siblings, Alma (Lupe), Fidel Rico, and Carmen Rico; Grandchildren Carlos, Hector jr. , Anthony & Rena including numerous grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
