Benedict J. Roman Jr., 88, of Oglesby passed away December 29, 2015 at 1:09 PM in OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Mr. Roman was born in Peru on February 20, 1927 to Benedict Sr. and Barbara (Piotrowski) Roman. He served in the US Army from June 1945 until February 1947. He later worked as a security guard and for the City of Peru.
He is survived by his companion Anna Waycaster of Oglesby; nieces and nephews; special friends Perry & Kathy Ellerbrock of Peru; Perry R. (Tamara Cook) Ellerbrock of Peru; Katelyn (Noah Garcia) Ellerbrock of Oglesby; Pauline Suarez of Oglesby.
Mr. Roman was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Wieck on October 17, 2003.
