Belva Evelyn Turchik, 25 of Kingwood, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Ruby Memorial Hospital with family and friends by her side. She was born on January 1, 1990 in Morgantown, daughter of Jay Allen Turchik and Jill, Saint Mary’s, WV, Tina Marie Sypolt and Companion, Tim Atwood, Kingwood. Belva loved spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies were shopping, spending money, and her favorite color is Green. She attended Preston High School was a huge Knights fan. Belva also attended K.A.R.E. Academy in Kingwood and was the first to ever achieve pastor’s honor roll. Belva is survived by her parents; finance, Stanley Wayne Louk, one brother, Jay Allen Turchik II, Kingwood, step-brother and sister, Ashley Elaine Atwood, Kingwood, Jonathan Kyle Atwood, Newburg; one niece, Kaia Atwood, Newburg; paternal grandmother, Dolly Hartman Turchik, paternal grandparents, Mike and Sally Torchik of Cadiz, OH. Belva was preceded in death by one brother, Jonathan David Turchik, maternal grandparents, Charles Edward and Bonnie Evelyn Slider Sypolt, paternal grandfather, Kenneth Larry Turchik, maternal great-grandmother, her namesake Belva Slider; paternal great great grandmother, Sarah “Sadie” Newell.
