Belinda Kay Young was born in Lawrence County, Alabama on August 22, 1959 to the late Marshall T. and Thelma Irene Alexander Young. She departed this life on February 9, 2014 at Decatur Morgan Hospital-DGH Campus.
She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Oakville Missionary Baptist Church where she was a faithful member and had served on the Usher Board.
She received her formal education in the Lawrence County School System and was a graduate of the Lawrence County High School Class of 1977. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall Thorne Young and Thelma Irene Young
Belinda loved her family and liked to make others laugh. She was a devoted daughter and this was exemplified by her taking special care of both her parents while their health failed. She was employed by Copeland Corporation for 11 years and then was employed by General Electric.
She is survived by: one brother, Ricky (Betty) Young of Moulton; aunts, Carlean (Ernest T.) Young, Nadine Young of Moulton, Annie Fae Gossett of South Carolina, Louise Jones of Moulton and Samella Young of Aliquippa, PA; ; uncle, Richard (Rosa) Alexander of Moulton a devoted and loving cousin, Peggy Taylor of Moulton and a host of other relatives and friends.
