She was born in Menlo, GA on October 8, 1951 to William H. Carter and the late Laura Matilda Carter. Along with her father she is survived by her loving husband Bruce Elrod and children, Lee Elrod and his wife Janet, Joe Elrod and his wife Kim.
She is also survived by grandchildren, Scarlet Elrod, James Elrod, Sam Elrod and Zoe Elrod.
