Beletia G. Mize, 62, of Peru, passed away peacefully Monday, October 16, 2017 at her home.
Beletia was born March 29, 1955 in Cincinnati, OH to Ervin and Odessie (Taulbee) Mize. She was a graduate of Bowen High School in Chicago and Illinois Valley Community College. She worked as a restaurant general manager for 25 years. She was a devoted, Christian mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed making crafts and loved to travel.
Survivors include three children, Michelle (Travis Funk) Mize of LaSalle, Jesse Mize of Elgin and Antonio Rosales of Granville; six grandchildren, Kylie Brown, Blair Mize, Ariel Mize, Isaac Rosales, Nico Mize and Talya Rosales; three great-grandchildren, Sean Garrison, Jase Rosales and Adelina Lansing; three sisters, Phyllis A. Guajardo of LaSalle, Revenna (Fernando) Flores of Mendota and Sandra (Salvador Salazar) Morales of Oglesby; one brother, Ritchie Mize of Chicago Heights and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Donna Jean Elliott and two brothers, Kenneth and Michael Mize. Pallbearers will be Adam Mize, Fernando Flores Jr., Fabian Flores, Adrian Brown, Fabian Salazar and Salvador Salazar.
