Rebecca (Becky) Culver Adams passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at her Colorado home on November 23, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. Becky was born on February 23, 1943, to Howard Dean and Pauline Culver in Philadelphia, Mississippi. As a young child, when Dean enlisted in WWII, she moved to Wyoming with her extended paternal family. She spent the rest of her life in the Rocky Mountains; the first half in Riverton, Wyoming, where she graduated from high school, raised her daughter Laura, and worked tirelessly while also enjoying her community. Becky moved to Colorado in the 1980’s where she met her husband, John Howe, who was by her side for over 25 years. A consummate professional, Becky dedicated most of her long career to the field of mining and exploration. Friendly, immensely likable, and with her bright smile and western wit, Becky treasured each and every of the many enduring friendships she made throughout her life. She loved to cook and entertain, engage with her community, and spend time with her family and many friends. In retirement Becky found new joy through the delightful first and second graders at the nearby elementary school where she volunteered. Becky is survived by her loving husband John Howe (Parker, CO), her daughter Laura Adams and sonin-law Michael Koepf (Palo Alto, California), two aunts – Mary (Culver) Herring (Albuquerque) and Billie Culver (Dubois, WY), numerous cousins, and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents.
