Beatrice peacefully passed away at her residence. She is the widow of the late Vernus Ragsdale and mother of Anana Julia Young and Camille Davidson.

Beatrice Ragsdale was born in Natchitoches Parish, LA on October 19, 1923 to B. L. and Alberta Freeman. She was adopted at two years and eleven months by Charlie and Diana Robinson and lived on the family’s 500 acre farm packed with pecan trees, all kinds of fruits and vegetables, peanuts, peaches, mulberries, and surrounded by a lake, Bayou Three League, named by her grandfather, the late Benjamin Howard. Bayou Three League was where the family swam and fished. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Saviour at an early age. She attended public school in Natchitoches, LA.

On July 25, 1975, she married Vernus N. Ragsdale and was very happily married until his death in 1998.

Beatrice Ragsdale was a very strong, caring, and matriarchal woman who worshipped the Lord Jesus Christ, loved her family dearly, and cherished her career.

Beatrice Ragsdale passed away while resting at her home in Chula Vista, CA on October 6, 2013. She is survived by her daughters, Anana Julia Young and Camille Davidson; daughters-in-law, Aisha Saundra Tizenor, Naima Snell, Latifa Jaima, Maureen Steiner and Bernice Marcus; eight grandsons, Kevin D. Young, Eric Davidson, Aaron Snell, Iweze Jaima, Christopher Cunningham, Todd Cunningham and wife Leilani, Amir Jaima and wife Amma, Rafi Rama Jaima and wife Felicitas; granddaughter, Najma Jaima; eight great- grandchildren, Patrick, Emilio, Marcelo, Aaliyah, Emilia, Tariq Bey, Nazirah, Justin Van Loo and many other relatives and friends. She will be sorely missed. “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” PSALM 23:1-6
