Beatrice Mae Blasdell Sweetman McInnis died peacefully on August 31, 2021 at 4:30 p.m. MST at the age of 91, due to complications from cancer, after three years of remission, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Lyn and Jerome R. Stillwagon in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

Beatrice was born May 25, 1930 in Watertown, Sanilac, MI. In 1936 when she was six years old, her father, a merchant marine by trade, moved the family to Birchdale, WI, to try farming but he died the next year. His widow, Elizabeth, moved the family back to Sandusky, MI, where his remains are buried. With only a 6th grade education, Beatrice owned a popular upholstery business in Jacksonville, FL, for over 20 years. She was an avid collector of Hummel figurines and was very knowledgeable in antique furniture, which she also collected.

Beatrice was preceded in death by her two sons, Reginald Clinton Sweetman (b. 1937 d. 1937) and Ronald Lee Sweetman (b. 1953 d.1996); her first husband, Alvin Maxwell Clark Sweetman (b. 1927 d. 1962) and her second husband, James Douglas McInnis (b. 1935 d. 2010).

She is survived by her daughter and son-in law, Rebecca and Jerome Stillwagon; two sons, Barry Sweetman and his wife, Lillie, and Max Sweetman and his wife, Torri, as well
as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
