Obituary of Beatrice Lillian Goidosik Hartman

GOIDOSIK-HARTMAN, Beatrice Lillian

Saginaw, Michigan

Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2013. She was 89 years old. Beatrice Arch was born April 5, 1924 to the late Frank and Lola (Kiff) Arch. She married John F. Goidosik on August 28, 1943; he preceded her in death on September 25, 1983.

Beatrice graduated from St. Peter and Paul Catholic High School and then went on to work for Backer Perkins as their switchboard operator and receptionist for 35 years. She was a vigorous participant in many sports. Bea led her Class “A” women’s softball team to six state championships during a 20-year period as a pitcher and first baseman. She also found time during the winter months to bowl in two of Saginaw’s Classic leagues, and for many years was one of the Top 10 Women Bowlers in the greater Saginaw area. She and her husband, John and son also enjoyed their summer home in northern Michigan for many years, as well as with the grandchildren. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and a past member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Frankfort, MI.

Surviving are her son, John J. (Nancy); four grandsons, John A. (Lisa), Scott, David (AnnMarie), and Bryan (Erica); three great-grandchildren, Brode, Koltyn, and Madelyn, with one on the way; and two sisters-in-law, Jean Arch and Helen Makara.

Bea was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Margaret Baudoux and to the staff of Helping Hands Nursing Service for their loving care.
