RICE, Beatrice Kay Of Kalamazoo Peaches passed away early Saturday morning, December 19, 2009 at Borgess Medical Center. She was born February 17, 1957 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Kyle F. Rice II and Dorothy L. Rose Rice Merriam. Bea was employed by EPC in Mattawan, and was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Kalamazoo.
Surviving are three children, Monica Rice of Kalamazoo, Shawn Lindsey Miller of Washington, IN, and Mario Mesa of Portage; three grandchildren, Maryah, Xavier, and Isabella; one sister, Rekia Larry Warner of Kalamazoo; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, and one brother, Kyle Rice.
