Beatrice H. Whaples, 96, of Storrs, widow of Randolph W. Whaples, passed away Wednesday April 3, 2002. Born July 30, 1905 in Woodstock, daughter of Leonard H. and Carolyn B. Healey, she graduated from Woodstock Academy and taught school in Woodstock. She attended the Sargent School of Physical Education and graduated from the University of Connecticut with a BS in Home Economics in 1928 and was captain of the women?s basketball team.
