Beatrice Massa, 91, of Ottawa, died December 26, 2008 at the Ottawa Regional Hospital and Healthcare Center.
Beatrice was born December 23, 1917 in Barrington to William and Emma (Radke) Faber. She graduated from Sherman Hospital School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse for Sherman Hospital in Elgin. She married John F. Massa on February 1, 1941 in Plato Center. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Elgin and the Illinois Nurses Association.
She is survived by one daughter, Cheri Sandberg of Ottawa; one son, John (Kari) Massa of Sugar Grove; one granddaughter, Megan Sandberg of Ottawa; one grandson, Corey (Allison) Massa of Poplar Grove; two great granddaughters, Candice and Danielle Sandberg of Ottawa; two brothers, Lawrence Faber and Melvin (Beverly) Faber both of Hampshire.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John and two brothers, John and Otto in infancy.
