Mr. Merle Leon “Bay” Nelson, age 73, of Huguley, Alabama passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at the East Alabama Medical Center Lanier Hospital in Valley.
Mr. Nelson was born on July 17, 1941 in Cusseta, Alabama to the late, Dempsey Nelson and Pearl Lee Nelson.
He was a member of Osanippa Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sons, Robbie (Leah) Nelson, Valley, Chris (Becky) Nelson, Valley, Eric (Stephanie) Nelson, Huguley; grandchildren, Jordan, Caleb, Ansley, and Kinsley; special friend, Nellene Sanders; step grandchildren, Haley, Wes, and Ava.
He was a carpenter at Batson Cook for many years. He loved working on his farm. He loved to sing at his church, Osanippa Baptist Church.
