Bary L. Baughman
Bary Baughman, 62, a resident of Shoshone died, February 22, 2011, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was a loving son, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who enjoyed being around his family. He loved camping, fishing, hunting, and telling wild stories to anyone who would listen. Pops had his sayings, of course, including “cheaters” and “cackle berries.”
Bary Baughman was born on January 10, 1949 in Missoula, Montana, the son of Samuel and Lucille Baughman. He married Linda Peterson on January 19, 1999 in Gooding, Idaho.
Being a bit of a nomad, Bary worked a variety of jobs in his lifetime. These included construction, logging, a restaurant cook and a livestock feeder.
He is survived by one brother, John (Joyce) Baughman of Missoula, Montana. One son Shane (Lesa) Baughman of Tell City, Indiana, three step-sons Larry Kleemer of Missoula, Montana, Aaron (Courtney) Meyer of Boise, Idaho, Shannon(Gina) Meyer of Reno, Nevada, and three step daughters Donna (James) Sessions of Victor, Montana, Rhonda Kellmer of Lolo, Montana, and Shawna (Gary) Jacobson of Shoshone, Idaho. He also had fifteen grandchildren: Shelby Baughman, Russell Grosvenor, Cody Grosvenor, Jessica Sessions, Zach Sessions, Dustin Hobdey, Sherelle Hobdey, Katie (John), Patterson Josh Hobdey, Charon (David) Gaspar, Christina Jacobson, Maddison Meyer, Phineas Meyer, Isabella Meyer, and Evan Meyer, and six great grandchildren, Farmer, Feller, Dominic, Keagon, David, and Jayden and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bary is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Peterson, his son Brian, and three brothers, William Plasek, Bruce Baughman, and Richard Baughman.
The family would like to sincerely thank the nurses and staff of Guardian Hospice for their kind and compassionate care of Bary. And a special thanks to Dee Jacobson for being just what Bary needed in his last days.
