Barry T. Schippang, 63, of Bethlehem Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Inpatient Hospice in Allentown. He was the loving husband of Sharon (Holly) Schippang, with whom he shared over 33 years of marriage.

Born in Bethlehem, Barry was the son of the late Edward and Shirley (Druckenmiller) Schippang. After graduating from Liberty High School, he began working as a machinist, first with Bethlehem Steel Corp, then with Clayton H. Landis Company, and finally with Industrial Services Corporation in Easton. He had the “MacGyver” knack of fixing or building anything, and enjoyed working on his home improvement projects. He also enjoyed cars and going to car shows, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Barry was a member of the Zinc City Motorcycle Club, the Bethlehem Volunteer Fireman’s Home Association, and of Trinity Episcopal Church in Easton. More than anything else, he loved being with his wife and children.

Survivors: wife Sharon; son Barry Edward Schippang of Bath; daughter Janine Lynn Schippang of Bethlehem; sister Gilda Blouch and her husband Roger of Lakeland, FL; brother Rickey Schippang and his wife Arlene of Sylvester, GA; Father and mother in law Arthur and Charlotte Golden; nieces Cheryl Miller, Cindy Henderson, Cathy Hart, Tonya Norris and their families; nephews Gregory and Michael Hychko and Carl Artorius Holly.
