Barry E. Gross Barry E. “Shorty” Gross, 63, of Bethlehem, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2011 in St. Lukes Hospital, Fountain Hill. He was the beloved husband of Claudia J. (Litzenberger) Gross. They were married 33 years last June. He served his country in the U. S. Army during Viet Nam and received the Purple Heart. He worked for Coca-Cola Bottling Company of the Lehigh Valley for 33 years before retiring in 2010 and previously for Fritch Fuel of Bethlehem. Survivors: Wife, step-children, Heath Litzenberger and his children, Shelby, Emily and Andrew of Trexlertown; Christa Rakestraw, her husband Scott and their sons, Aaron, Devin and Garrett of Allentown; Dawn Newhart and her sons, Barry, Trevor and Alex of Bethlehem. He was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Frey and brother Robert Gross.
