Barry Confer, 58, of Ft. Wayne, passed away December 22, 2014 at the Hospice Home in Ft. Wayne., after a long battle with lung disease.
Barry was born to Daniel W, and Nancy (Patten) Confer of Ossian on October 23, 1956 and graduated from Norwell High School in 1975. He was an accomplished bowler and golfer, and a huge Notre Dame fan. He enjoyed watching auto racing and hockey. He was very active in the Sons of the American Legion at Post 241, where he held many offices including squadron commander. He was also the past 4th District commander. He retired from Ft. Wayne Wire Die after over 30 years of service.
Surviving are his mother Nancy, sister Vickie (Lloyd) Graft of Ossian, a brother Dennis Confer of Bourbonnais, IL, and two nieces Lori McBride of Myakka City, FL and Kelly Diallo of Cincinatti, OH. He was precede in death by his father and beloved dachshund, Snuggles.
