Barry Asbury, affectionately know as WeWe was born on April 19, 1961 in Orangeburg County in Vance, SC to the late William & Maggie Asbury. He departed this life on Thursday, October 23, 2014.
He grew up and attended the Vance Primary and Holly Hill Roberts High School. Early in life Barry became employed by J.F. Cleckly in Columbia, SC. He gave his life to the Lord and he was filled with the Holy ghost for 5 years. He was honor and glory and a man of strong faith.
After giving his life to Christ, he then became a walking Deacon and he loved the Lord. Deacon Barry Asbury was a faithful man. He worked as a Trustee and sang on the choir.
He’s married to the love of his life, Mrs.
He leaves to cherish is fond memories: his loving wife, Emma Ruth Asbury; two sisters who share fond memories, Mary (John) High and Elizabeth Williams; three brothers, John Asbury, Freddie (Sharon) Asbury, and Ernest (Shirley) Asbury; seven aunts, Lurine (Erick) Mazyck, Jessie (Tommie Lee) Small, Carolina (James) Foye, Sadie Mae (James) Williams, Elizabeth Isac, Jessie (John) Oliver, and Flo Lee (George) White; one uncle, Marion Oliver; one godson, Antwon Shaw; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
