Barbara was Nanny to her family. Her favorite color was pink. Her favorite poem Annabelle Lee. Her favorite season summer.
She loved being “Miss Barbara” during her years working in the office at Brookton Elementary School and then at Wauka Mountain Elementary School. She remembered every child that passed through, every tooth she pulled and every nosebleed she cleaned up.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Harold E.
For those that loved “Miss Barbara” and would like to honor her memory, a fund has been set up at Wauka Mountain Multiple Intelligences Academy to help children get school supplies, medical care, shoes, etc. that they need.
