Barbara “Sue” Geerligs, 76, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018. She was born April 17, 1942 to the late William “Bud” and Dorothy (Doan) Hutchins. Sue was united in marriage to James “Jim” Geerligs on June 16, 1961. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.
Sue was a secretary at Angling Rd. Elementary school for 27 years. Sue was an avid cross-stitcher having won several awards for her work, and enjoyed reading, traveling and spending winters in Florida and summers in South Haven. Sue is survived by her husband, Jim; sons, Mike (Anne) Geerligs and Terry (Wendy) Geerligs; grandsons, Nick and Noah Geerligs; brother, Bill (Mona) Hutchins, Jr.; sister-in-law, Marcia Hutchins; and nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Rick Hutchins.
