Barbara was born in Lynchburg, Va. to the late Robert E. Staton and Rosey Curles Guy Powell. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Johnson.
She is survived by two sons, Arvin Ray Johnson Jr. and Daniel Lee Johnson; one daughter, Retha Johnson; brother, Glen Staton; three sisters, Cindy Dodd, Brenda Broadway and Rosa Smith; 10 grandchildren, Renee Johnson, Katlyn Johnson, Stacy Johnson, Miranda Apel, Amber Carthen, Lilly Johnson, Damien Johnson, Haven Johnson, Brandi Johnson, Brittany Gurgainous and 4 great-grandchildren.
