Barbara Simpson “Bobbie” Reed, 81, of Westminster, died Monday, November 30, 2015 at Carroll Lutheran Village. Born October 21, 1934 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Adelaide M. Simpson and Walter G. Simpson. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Carl R. Reed.
She started working at the Carroll County Bank and Trust Co. before retiring at BB&T Bank. She was a graduate of Taneytown High School and has been a member of St. Benjamin’s Lutheran Church since 1955.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a sister Jean S. Grossnickle of Frederick and a brother Walter Lee Simpson, Sr. of Littlestown, PA. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister Gloria A. Elliot of Hanover, PA.
