Barbara Jean Shattock, age 93, passed away June 11, 2016 at Tecumseh Place Assisted Living, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born in Detroit in 1923, she attended McKenzie High School and married Earl Shattock on October 21, 1943. Mr. Shattock passed away in 2001. Barbara is survived by her children, Thomas C. Shattock of Dearborn Heights and Susan Menghini of Wamplers Lake, MI; three grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. They are, Amanda and Joe Pelukas, parents of Matthew, Hillary and Audrey of Canton, MI, Daniel and Leigh Menghini, parents of Sofia and Joshua of Scottsdale, AZ and Carrie and Scott Hitchler, parents of Elise and Nora of Phoenix, AZ. Barbara was a well known resident of Dearborn who was a Realtor with Garling Real Estate. She was a member of the Dearborn Board of Realtors, Dearborn Chamber of Commerce, Civitan and an active member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
