Barbara S VanMatre, 87, of Anderson, passed away on June 24, 2018, at Countryside Manor Health and Living Community in Anderson. She was born on May 11, 1931, in Anderson, where she resided all of her life.
She retired from Ft. Harrison Finance Center. She was a member of VFW Post #266, and The American Legion Post #408. She enjoyed going to the casino and spending time with her family and friends. Barbara is survived by her children, Diana VanMatre, Doug (Cheryl) Mitchell, Paula (Steve) Henderson, and Denise (Bill) Alter; grandchildren, Jonathan VanMatre, Brian VanMatre, Wendy VanMatre-Shell, several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and her companion, Ken Brown.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Crystal Tribbett.
