Barbara S. (Eble) Boehm, 84, of Peru and Okeechobee, FL, passed away Friday, March 13, 2020 at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Boehm was born August 5, 1935 in DePue to Paul and Catherine (Ballard) Eble. She married Jack E. Boehm on February 6, 1954 in LaSalle. Mrs. Boehm was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in LaSalle.
She was a 55-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of several bridge clubs. She volunteered for 15 years at The Lighted Way in LaSalle. She was a fond animal lover and had many pets. She also enjoyed traveling, visiting all 50 states.
Survivors include three children, Patricia (Harold) Maulfair of Peru, Jack (Andrea Haller) Boehm Jr. of Lake Bluff and Richard (Kay) Boehm of Peru; six grandchildren, Brian (Lisa) Fenwick and Kelli Fenwick, Bridget (Carl) Czadzek and Brittany Boehm and Margaret and Erin Boehm; one step-grandson Dan (Nikki) Maulfair; five great-grandchildren, Faith, Brison and Keagan Fenwick and Kilah and Kensley Helm and one more on the way; four sisters, Marlyn (John) Kulpa of Lostant, Catherine Buell of LaSalle, Carol (Bruce) White of California and Mary Noonan of Nevada; three brothers, Paul Eble of Arizona, Wesley Eble of Nevada and James (Diane) Eble of Princeton; one sister-in-law, Sandy Eble of Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Sr. on July 8, 2016; her parents; one sister, Louise Eble and one brother, Joie Eble.Pallbearers will be Patricia Maulfair, Jack Jr. and Richard Boehm, Brian and Kelli Fenwick and Brittany Boehm.
