The daughter of the late Albert and Bertha (Wenkel) Peppel was born November 12, 1929 in Gibson Twp. and had resided in Bay City for many years. She was formerly employed at J.C. They were the loves of her life.

On August 28, 1948 she married her husband of sixty seven years Jerome G. “Jerry” Rose in The First Congregational Church Bay City, MI and he is left to cherish her memories along with her children; Rickey and Lynne Rose of Bay City, Patrice and James Smith of Bay City, Barb Vandenbelt and Dr. Mark Komorowski of Essexville, her daughter-in-law; Diane Rose of Egg Harbor, NJ, her former son-in-law; Dr. William Vandenbelt of Bay City, four grandchildren; Scott and Shelly Rose, Jake Rose and Bryce Vandenbelt and Braeden Vandenbelt, two great grandchildren; Sania and Jason Rose, one sister and brother-in-law; Martha and Bob Olson, one sister-in-law; Avis Peppel, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Albert and Bertha she was preceded in death by two sons; David Rose and William Rose and three sisters and two brother-in-law; Lucille and Clarence Ahler, Elizabeth and Clark Butterfield and Priscilla LeMire and two brothers; Otto Peppel and Marshall Peppel. The Rose family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Bay Medical Care Facility and especially Kim, who treated Barb her like her own mother. A Private Family service was held at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Joseph Atchinson. At the request of Mrs. Rose cremation has taken place. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to Bay Medical Care Facility Activity Department.
