Barbara R. Toal, 82, of Littleton, eventually lost her long 12-year battle with blood cancer on Monday, March 5, 2012 at 12:56pm. She left this earth on a beautiful spring day in peace and in the company of her two loving children, Brandon Balagna-Toal, 43 and Jean Toal, 39 and will live on through them and they will carry on in her honor. She is survived by one brother Philip Reynolds III; one niece, 4 nephews; 5 great nieces and 3 great nephews.
Her sense of strength, courage, kindness, compassion, generosity of spirit, sensitivity and love will be sorely missed. The world will be incomplete and a much lesser place without her, as she has taken her rightful place in Heaven. None of us who knew and loved her will ever recover from this unfathomable loss. In her profession as a Catholic Schoolteacher for 45 years, she touched the lives of countless children with her devotion to Christ’s teachings. She also made time to be a homemaker, raising a family with the same good values that she taught her students. She was a “career woman” before it was fashionable to do so, balancing work and family with equal devotion and success. God bless her and rest her soul and grant her her rightful place in Heaven.
