Barbara Peterlin, 77, of Rural Oglesby, died on Monday afternoon at her home in her husbands arms.
Barb was born on July 8, 1938, at St. Marys Hospital in LaSalle to Joseph and Christine (Gaull) Sampo. She was a graduate of LaSalle-Peru Township High School, Class of 1956. She married Ronald Peterlin on Sept. 8, 1956 at Holy Family Church in Oglesby. She was a member of Holy Family Church, and served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years. Barb was known as a wonderful wife, mother, and grand-mother.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Ronald, three children, Robert Peterlin of Peru, James (Tracy) Peterlin, of Oswego, and Carol (Tim) Ploch, of Oglesby, 8 grandchildren, Ryan Weistart, Adam, Cody, and Brady Peterlin, Griffin Lawrence, Sophie, Lyla, and Allison Ploch. Memorials may be made to Holy Family Church and School.
