Barbara P. (O’Coin) Demers, 79, of Berlin, died peacefully on Friday, July 22, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Woonsocket, RI, she raised her family in Windsor, CT, recently moving to Berlin, CT. She retired from St. Francis Hospital after 15 years of employment and was a member of St. James Church, Rocky Hill. Mrs. Demers loved to crochet and knit and especially enjoyed making gifts for her grandchildren. She was an active member of the Berlin Senior Center. A devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she leaves five children, Susan Reney of Rocky Hill, Robert Demers and his wife Linda of Avon, Donna Reynolds and her husband Peter of Simsbury, David Demers and his wife Laura of Warren, PA, and Steven Demers and his wife Trina of Ft. Mohave, AZ; ten grandchildren; and one great granddaughter. She also leaves her sister and brother-in-law Ida and Bill Bileau of Lincoln, RI; and many nieces and nephews.
