Barbara Nesbitt Wells, a longtime resident of Ellicott City, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Howard County General Hospital. She was 81. She was born on February 7, 1937 in Black Mountain, North Carolina to the late Thomas and Martha Nesbitt. She graduated from Owen High School in Black Mountain and Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. She retired from Howard County Government as an Administrative Assistant, then volunteered for Howard County Ship at the Bain Senior Center. Barbara was an avid reader, loved crossword and sudoku puzzles, and was active in her church.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley N. Wells, her parents, and brother, Tommy Nesbitt. She is survived by her loving children, Stanley Thomas Wells and Alison Ann Wells; siblings, Dianne Campbell and Kathy Matthews.
