Barbara May (Franklin) D’Amato, 82, of Cromwell, passed away on May 4, 2016 at Autumn Lake Healthcare in Cromwell. It is with great sadness and grief that Thomas J. Signorelli, Jr. and Constance L. Fiorilla announce the passing of their beloved mother. Born February 18, 1934 to Walter W. and Edith (Henry) Franklin, she was the youngest of 6 children. Barbara grew up in Wethersfield and spent many summers at the family cottage at Point O Woods beach Old Lyme, CT. She attended Hylar College in Hartford studying Psychology. In 1956, she married Thomas J. Signorelli shortly after her son and daughter were born who she always said they were the love of her life. Barbara was a Casualty Claim Adjuster for Aetna Life and Casualty until her retirement.
