Barbara Marie Bilderback Hamilton, 93, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2015. Barbara was born January 10, 1922 to Iva and Bernard Bilderback of Boise, Idaho. After graduating from Boise High School, she graduated from Boise Junior College in 1941. She began working at Signal Corps at Gowen Field. After the base closed, Barbara moved to a job at Morrison Knudston where she met the love of her life, Merle Stephenson Hamilton. They were married Easter Sunday, April 6, 1947 at St. Michael’s Cathedral. Together they lived in Homedale, Caldwell and back to Boise. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She had many life long friends. Barbara loved to play golf and she got pretty good with a handicap of 17. She loved Hillcrest Country Club where she played bridge with many friends. Barbara leaves behind her children Kathy Tessman and Steve (Teri) Hamilton; grandchildren Selena (Matt) Lammers, KC Tessman, Lauren and Lindsay Hamilton; and great-grandchildren Colton, Teagan, Alex and Jake. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Merle and sister Patty. The family would like to thank the staff of Brookdale Senior Living and St. Luke’s Hospice Care of Boise for the love and care they provided to her in her last days.
